Hairloss: What most hairdressers can't tell you because they don't know?
Ever sat down in your barbers or hair salon and asked this question? "I think my hair is thinning – how can I stop that from happening?"
I know that in most cases the professional you asked will give you this answer. "It is heredity and there isn't really much you can do about it". Like most people you already know that but you do actually want help. So you leave them still not understanding how to stop this problem. The reason you get the answer you did is because hair loss is not covered in-depth in any of the hairdressing papers that a qualified hairdresser has to take!!!
As a senior technical advisor within the hairdressing industry I have spent 1000's of hours teaching hairdressers the 8 causes of thinning hair. I would like to explain that for you in laymens terms so you have a better understanding. You don't inherit the problem.. You inherited the cause.
The main cause of Hair loss is:
DHT – Dihydrotestosterone. This is caused by male hormones converting to the chemical DHT. DHT causes the nutrient uptake to the hair follicle to be reduced. Growing hair is like growing anything, without good quality food the hair will be week and thin. Each time it replaces itself the new hair gets thinner and finally it is so thin that the hair is no longer able to push past the natural oil (sebum) produced in the hair shaft and there you are. No hair.. when that happens over and over again you start to notice a thinning area. Please note that by the time you become aware of this it has happened to thousands of hair follicles.
So how do you overcome this problem? Over the last 20 years more and more companies have started to recognise that this is a problem that needs to be solved. You may be aware of some of the pharmaceutical products that are now available on the market. These products contain DHT blockers that are designed to stop the creation of DHT. However there can be some serious risks to using these products and the manufacturers will clearly tell you that their products can cause increase risk of heart attack and also sexual dysfunction. Not the kind of result I would want and I am sure you would be slightly concerned too.
What is needed is natural herb based products that block DHT without causing any side effects. Using natural herbal based DHT Blockers will supply you the nutrients needed to assist your hair to get thicker thus stopping the thinning process and assisting in reversing the damage done.
